Accessibility and Usability of this website
The alcohol services for the community (asc) website is created with site visitors as the main priority.
The entire site is coded to W3C standards and conforms to XHTML 1.0 Transitional validation, we use seperate CSS to style the website which is tableless.
We have used a text resizing option to allow site visitors to change text as needed. This is located at the top right of each page. We have used text headers instead of images where possible, so that they are resized with the rest of the content. The navigation is also created as text.
Alternate text has been used where appropriate for images in the website and all images have been optimised for size to improve load times. We have also used contrasting colours for text and backgrounds.
All links in the content of the page are indicated in blue and will underline when hovering over. If a link goes to an external website, then this will be indicated in the title of the link.
We have used a number of 'common sense' techniques, including the asc logo linking to the homepage and consistent navigation throughout the website.
